The GX offers both FWD and AWD. The GS and GT trims include a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 186 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque. The Venue offers a 1.6L four-cylinder engine that generates only 121 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque. The CX-30 has the upper hand in terms of power and handling.
Every CX-30 is equipped better to handle Canada’s seasons and road conditions with standard AWD on the GT model (optional elsewhere). AWD is not available in the Hyundai Venue lineup, which limits road surface capabilities. The CX-30 incorporates Mazda’s i-Active AWD technology to deliver torque where it’s needed. This makes driving more fun on dry road surfaces and safer when conditions turn slick.
